1983 Porsche 911 Backdate Cabriolet
The inspiration for the car body: small, light, fast and open!
An exclusive unique specimen, the Porsche 911 Offen!
Driving pleasure is guaranteed with this exclusive Porsche 911 Backdate. With an increase in performance, increased engine capacity and radical weight reduction, this is a unique driving experience. The classic color combination of Irish green and the interior in brown with tartan looks fantastic.
A 911 SC Convertible from the year of construction 1983 was the basis for this exclusive unique specimen. The convertible was completely dismantled and the body checked on a frame straightening bench, restored and rebuilt to its original condition. This was followed by the assembly and conversion into a Spyder. The bodywork (conversion of the windshield, installation of the Windscreen mountings and cleaning of the dashboard and doors were all versions in sheet metal). The bodywork looks like an early Porsche 911 (F model). The taillights with chrome-plated surrounds correspond to a 911 R, also the front mudguards with integrated indicators and parking lights.
The unique kerb weight (without driver/fuel tank 50%) of 950 kg gives driving this unique specimen a completely new character and corresponding driving pleasure. A fuel tank with a capacity of 100 litres was also installed. All conversion work was carried out in agreement with a technical testing organization to ensure approval for road traffic after completion. The vehicle has German TÜV and road approval. The paint finishes were in the original Porsche color no.: 6606 PPG Irish Green. The interior was color-matched to the exterior paintwork, sports seats and sports steering wheel were installed. The instruments were completely restored and given green numerals and chrome trim rings. The dashboard and cockpit were cleaned and painted in the body color. A Nardi sports steering wheel was installed. The car boot and interior are fitted with the same carpeting.
A shelf with lockable compartments was installed in the rear area based on a historical model (available as an optional accessory from Porsche in the 80s). The body is documented and meets the highest standards of craftsmanship. The chassis components have been overhauled or renewed. The electrics and the interior were also overhauled. The engine was dismantled and received an increase in displacement and performance. The gearbox was overhauled.
