Chassis No. WP0AA2963NS480308 The lineup of 1980s auto show cars finished in Pearlescent White Metallic by Style Porsche is remarkable. Iconic debuts such as the 956 sports racing prototype, the 959 "Gruppe B," the 911 Speedster Studie, and even the 924 Carrera prototype, all sported this distinctive color revered deep within Porsche. It’s clear that Porsche insiders felt Pearlescent White best highlighted the body lines of their latest designs, reserving it for special occasions. However, customers were not entirely excluded, as the color was available through Porsche's Paint to Sample program at a significant additional cost for those in the know. This exceptionally-well preserved 3.3-liter 911 Turbo is not only rare—just one of only 233 produced for the U.S.-market—but it also holds the distinction as the final example produced for North America that year. According to its original window sticker it was delivered to Bert Smith International (now Porsche Clearwater). Like all 1992 911 Turbos it came equipped with the turbocharged 3.3-liter air-cooled flat-six developing 315 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque with that turbo power sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed Getrag transmission and limited slip differential. This well-ordered, coupe-only Turbo came equipped with nearly 20 X-Code options and additional Z-Orders from Porsche Exclusive that included multiple pieces of Dark Rootwood trim and luxurious leather-covered components. Additionally, the original window sticker records the rarely seen special leather center console and remote CD-1 CD changer. The order process is retained in the history file that records the original owner even tried to option this 3.3-liter turbo with 959-style fenders such was the level of requests! According to the clean CARFAX Vehicle History Report, the car was registered to its first long-term caretaker in July 1992 based in Florida who would retain it for the next 24 years until its sale in 2016 with a scant 712 miles on its VDO odometer. In 2019, it was acquired by the current owner, a noted collector of highly original, low mileage 1980s and ‘90s sports cars. With years of proper preservation, the Turbo’s Pearlescent White Metallic finish remains “show car” radiant while its full Black leather interior with its multitude of Exclusive options, including a rarely seen leather headliner, remains as expected in pristine condition. Most recently, the car visited European Performance in Raleigh, North Carolina for a new fuel pressure accumulator and AC system recharge in 2022 and later an inspection and oil filter service in October 2024. Perhaps, as expected, this final 1992 911 Turbo retains its window sticker, manuals, toolkit, air pump, spare, and correspondence between Porsche and the original long-term owner. This impressive level of documentation is, just like its exceptionally low mileage, a superb indication of the careful preservation afforded to this highly collectible, special-occasion supercar.
